He is well-respected in the Atlanta music scene, and has been afforded amazing opportunities to use his many talents. He is a worship pastor at Victory Midtown Church in Atlanta, a songwriter who has written for major artists (including Montell Jordan, Q. Parker, Jonathan McReynolds, Mali Music, Musiq Soulchild, Bobby Valentino, Victory House Worship and is sought after by many artists to produce, write, and even feature on their projects.
As an actor, Jamal McGhee has shared the stage with the likes of Tyler Perry, acted on major tv shows like "The Game", Meet the Browns and was recently cast in a music ministry production entitled “The Table” that received rave reviews.
When asked what made him pursue career or ministry in music, Jamal says,
“The original goal wasn’t ministry. It was fame, notoriety, and wealth. When I was 17, I had a dream. God told me my gift was to be used to glorify Him. I battled with that for a while. Then one day a friend of mine was listening to my music (it was R&B). She called me afterwards and said, ‘Aaron, you have to understand that with your gift, you have the power to usher people into the presence of something, but you have to decide what presence you want that to be.’ That changed everything.”
He has been gifted with a unique ability to do what he does with sincerity and swag! For Jamal, he is simply putting his best foot forward to glorify God. This is who he gives all the credit to, and he ultimately wants to point everyone to God's amazing love.
Finally, he is back with new music as a part of the worship collective “Victory House Worship”. The first half of their junior project entitled Monument is available now on all streaming platforms.
